AUGMENTED REALITY & UBISCOPE

Ubiquitous Computing for Health

New interactive, ubiquitous and wearable technologies have the potential to revolutionize patient care and improve quality of life to those in need. Access to knowledge is supporting a variety of people, patients, and providers now that smart devices and sensors are more accessible than ever before.

Our research investigates the design and development of new tools, techniques, and infrastructure that leverage the power of multimodal and pervasive technologies. Technology such as augmented reality, depth sensing, eye-tracking, and more, enable us to investigate human behavior by first capturing, then understanding, and finally intervening. We leverage these three core elements to create better interaction with information through the design and development of human-centered ubiquitous computing technologies that improve health and the delivery of health care.
